At a Board of Selectmen’s meeting on Monday, the group decided to began the 2012 budget with a proposed 2.39% tax hike. This number was achieved by combing the School Superintendent Deborah Low’s proposed 3.26% spending increase, new employee requests from the police and highway department and lower debt service among other variables.
