IMPORTANT: Ridgefield detective John Knoche was just at my house. Apparently, a man parked a white van at the Barrack Hill end of Settlers Lane and tried to entice a boy playing in the stream into his vehicle. The boy ran away to his home, and the man yelled for the boy to "Get back here." The man returned to his vehicle and drove off. This happened around 5:15pm today. He was wearing blue shorts, black shirt, has a mustache and possibly balding. If you saw the van, or the man, please contact Detective John Knoche at 203-438-6531 or 203-431-2794. Please share this with your network and keep predators out of Ridgefield.

Parma Market and Bakery

Parma Cafe is one the gems of Ridgefield. It's located in shopping center off Danbury Road north of Downtown. If you don't know it's there, you most likely won't notice it unless you pull into the shopping center. Our broker recommended it to us, and we are glad he did. In short, they are justwhat you expect from a good Italian Deli / Market / Bakery. They offer a nice selection of fresh made salads, sandwiches, hot food and the bakery goods are delicious, of course. Additionally, they have fast and friendly. We have also used their catering services. Our only issue is we ordered more than we needed for our sons first birthday party. Boo-hoo for us. We had to eat all that yummy food.
